    What is an Image Journey™?

·         The Image Journey is a makeup lesson that allows a woman to discover her authentic image and enhance her natural beauty.  The Image Journey begins with thought-provoking questions and “homework” that encourage her to think about whom she really is, how she currently presents herself, and what she would like to transform based on self-discovery rather than seasonal trends and fashion industry standards. She will look through her favorite magazines, select pictures she is drawn to, and with her Authentic Beauty Image Artist she will identify what attracted her to them and find inspiration for herself. With her makeup artist as her “guide”, she will learn to apply makeup based on her preferences and newly discovered Authentic Image. Upon completion of her Image Journey, she will have developed her unique style and acquired the skills to recreate it.  With every look designed, HER authentic beauty shines through. This lesson was inspired by the work of Sarah BanBreathnach, author of Simple Abundance and Something More. This IS the signature service of Authentic Beauty

 

    Who is Authentic Beauty?·       
           Authentic Beauty is a company started by make-up artist Alyson Hoag out of her commitment to make a difference in the beauty industry.  In a world where our perception of beauty is distorted by the media we believe women must look within to discover true beauty for themselves.  Authentic Beauty is a company based on the belief that every woman is beautiful and it is our job to assist her in expressing that. We are a team comprised of professional makeup artists. What sets us apart is that we are service and education based.

    How are these makeup artists trained?

·         Our make-up artists are exceptional industry professionals, with many years of experience, specifically trained in our Image Journey™ process.  Our artists are committed to assisting women in finding their authentic look and instructing them with simple direction. There is not one way or one technique our artists are trained in. We believe experience is the best training.

    What makeup do you use?
·         ProFaces is an independent manufacturer of makeup, cosmetics, skincare and makeup brushes. They offer a palette of colors for all skin types and color tones. The quality and consistency are similar to MAC/Bobbie Brown. They are NOT a private label but an actual manufacturer who supports other cosmetic lines in formulating and producing products. They are hypo-allergenic, non-comodegenic and do not test on animals. There is no mineral oil in these products. We are currently working on developing environmentally friendly packaging. 
    What do I need for my Image Journey session?
·         Bring your make up bag and brushes so that our artist can analyze your current cosmetics and make recommendations on what works and does not work for you based on your image journey homework (BRING YOUR HOMEWORK! You will be rescheduled if homework is not done).  You will leave your session with specific instructions (written and diagramed) on how to recreate your look. You will leave knowing EXACTLY how to do it and in love with your new look! The session lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. You will also receive a gift certificate for a follow-up session to ensure you can do the look yourself!

   Do they have a location for me to see them?

The Authentic Beauty Studio is located at 4674 Roswell rd, in front of Noland Suttles Salon, two miles inside the Perimeter on Roswell rd

    Can I purchase the makeup at other locations?

·         Profaces makeup and all tools are available online, at the salon locations when an artist is scheduled and at the Authentic Beauty Studio.  www.myimagejourney.com/store
