In May 2009 Alyson joins the staff of the Elaine Sterling Institute. Alyson will be teaching basic makeup education to the esthetics students of the Institute as well as developing an advanced ciruculum for makeup. Swimming Upstream Cast Members Cared For by Authentic Beauty.
From November 5-16th Swimming Upstream performed at the 14th st Playhouse. Atlanta was privileged to be the first city to feature this remarkable play telling the stories from Hurricaine Katrina. In addition to the amazing actresses from New Orleans, Jasmine Guy, Kerry Washington, Phylicia Rashad and Shirley Knight guest starred. November 7 Eve Ensler hosted a Gala following the performance at the W Hotel. "America the Beautiful" In Atlanta. Authentic Beauty helped to bring Daryl Roberts and the documentary America the Beautiful to Atlanta where it played at the Landmark Midtown Theater on October 22 and 23rd. We had the highest attendance for a Wednesday and Thursday night showing in the country! Thank you to all those of you who came out and showed your support. The movie was outstanding! It was everything I hoped it would be. If it comes back to Atlanta I will let you know and when it comes to DVD you can be sure we will have it playing every week at the studio.
